Antur Fort Kannad Aurangabad.

This is second biggest fort in Aurangabad District.
First Biggest fort is Devgiri fort.For visit you may reach to Aurangabad first. Flight train and railway are available.

Aurangabad is 220 km from Pune.

And kannad is 60 from Aurangabad.

From kannad you have to go for via Gautala forest.Nagapur it is 25 km from kannad.

And after you reach at Nagapur Antur fort is 5 km.

This fort inspired me as I reach here it's very beautiful fort.

It's very big and surrounding atomsphere is hilly area.

There are many hills near this fort.

The fort was built about the middle of the 15th century by a MarathaChief and was named after him.The fort made by Dhone community he live in chimnapur village .Dhone is leading surname in "96 Kuli Marathas" proof is available but not specific name are available but old people said antur forts "killedar" is about 16 senturi its name is Ravirav Shamrao Dhone" It remained in the possession of his descendants for about a century and was then taken by the Mohammedans. Between 16th and 17th centuries it belonged to the Nizam Shahi of Ahmadnagar, as is evidenced front several inscriptions in the fort in which some of the kings of this dynasty are mentioned.

 There is no Entrance ticket to this fort. The location of this fort is in the forest. This fort is on a cliff of the mountain so one can enter into the fort from one side only. With beautiful views/scene this fort is worth visiting.

There is no facilities of food stall on fort or near fort.so u have to carry foods with you.
